A 14-year-old boy was stabbed twice in the head and once in his leg in the capital on Wednesday evening, local media reported.
He was taken to Senahiyaa hospital and later transferred to the state-owned Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
An IGMH spokesman said the teenager’s condition was not serious and that he would be discharged later that night.
Police said no arrests have been made so far.
The attack follows three stabbings in the capital’s suburb last week.
A 29-year-old man was stabbed in Hulhumalé Saturday. A 24-year-old was stabbed seven times on Friday night, and local media reported a stabbing taking place last Thursday night.
