04 Jul 2018, 9:00 AM
Addu City’s regional hospital warned of a chickenpox outbreak, local media reported Wednesday.
Senior Community Officer Mohamed Najeeb told VFP that the number of people seeking help was higher than normal in the country’s southernmost atoll.
He said sick people were advised not to go to crowded public spaces and for ill children to stay away from school.
The hospital does not have the chickenpox vaccine, VFP reported.
