First lady embarks on atoll tour
The first lady is expected to visit islands to evaluate the living conditions of residents.

First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim has kicked off a three-day tour of Alif Alif atoll as part of her social-welfare campaign, following a meeting with school principals in the capital Malé.
According to SunOnline, she was welcomed on Thoddoo island Wednesday morning and is expected to visit six more islands to evaluate the living conditions of residents.
On Tuesday, Ibrahim held a meeting with principals of major schools on Malé to discuss the challenges that lie ahead of the new academic year, which starts next week.
Mihaaru reported that the first lady has promised to assist in overcoming any challenges faced by schools due to lack of resources, facilities and classroom space.
