Addu stabbing victim in critical condition
The 22-year-old victim is awaiting transfer to Malé for further treatment.

A 22-year old man stabbed in Addu City is in serious condition, a community news site from the southernmost atoll reported.
Mohamed Evan, from the Boalhadhandige house on Maradhoo island, was stabbed seven times in the back on Saturday. He was also stabbed in the neck and head.
He was transferred to the Hithadhoo Regional Hospital from Maradhoo hospital, but is awaiting transfer to Malé for further treatment.
“He has severe injuries to his lungs. We are currently treating him on the ventilator,” Mohamed Najeeeb, a community health officer in charge of the regional hospital, told Mihaaru.
Another man from Maradhoo was also injured in the gang fight. His injuries were reportedly not serious.
The fight occurred around 11pm last night.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested with a court warrant in relation to the stabbing, a police spokesman confirmed.
The suspect was hiding out on the Hulhumeedhoo island, the spokesman said.
Eight cases of assault have been reported to the police in the first week of October after 78 cases in September, according to police statistics.
