The Maldives Food and Drug Authority has banned the sale of two types of imported French cheese that could be contaminated with the E.coli bacteria.
The authorities have started work on recalling the Saint-Félicien and Saint Marcellin cheeses from the market, the MFDA announced Wednesday.
It was alerted to the import of the Saint-Félicien and Saint Marcellin cheeses by the World Health Organisation’s food and safety network and Europe’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed.
