The Bank of Maldives will host a regional banking conference late next year with 80 leading institutions from 25 Asian countries due to take part.
The Asian Bankers Association announced that its 35th annual gathering will be held in Kurumba Maldives in November 2018.
“I am delighted that Maldives, with Bank of Maldives as host bank, has been selected to host the 35th General Meeting and Conference of the Asian Bankers Association,” said BML CEO and Managing Director, Andrew Healy, who represents the national bank on the ABA board.
“This highly prestigious event will provide a great opportunity to showcase the country, not just in terms of financial services but more broadly, to a very influential international audience.”
The ABA’s annual conference will bring together industry leaders to discuss relevant issues and opportunities, according to BML. More than 160 delegates from across the region will attend, along with a number of esteemed international speakers.
