A 24-year old man was injured after being stabbed seven times in a knife attack in Hulhumalé on Friday night.
The victim is doing well, a Hulhumalé hospital spokesman told the Maldives Independent.
No arrests have been made over the assault and a police spokesman refused to comment further, saying the case was being investigated.
Local media reported that a young man was also stabbed in the Malé suburb on Thursday night.
