Maldives police arrest journalist at opposition-aligned TV station
A sports journalist at the opposition-aligned Raajje TV was arrested this afternoon after police officers allegedly entered the private station’s office in Malé without a court warrant. Hussain Fariyaz was arrested around 1:00pm and released about two hours later. He has alleged physical mistreatment and verbal abuse by police officers.

Raajje TV resumes politics coverage ‘for the sake of viewers’
Raajje TV’s chief operating officer said the station decided to resume regular broadcasts last night for the sake of its viewers despite failed attempts to seek assurances from the authorities.
