Prosecution threshold, thalassemia fixes and guesthouse financing

The Prosecutor General decided there were “no grounds to pursue criminal charges” against President Muizzu over an alleged threatening phone call to Adhadhu CEO Hussain Fiyaz Moosa. The alleged act of intimidation did not meet the legal threshold for assault threats under the penal code or the Prevention of Dangerous Weapons Act, the PG office said.

Ahmed Mausoom was appointed as the new director general of the Maldives Blood Services, which opened applications for five registered nurses following President Muizzu's promise to fix deteriorating thalassaemia services.
