Missing tourist drowned
The 31-year old man was reported missing on Tuesday.

A 31-year old tourist who went missing near the Fihalhohi Island Resort drowned to death.
The man was reportedly from the Philippines. He was staying at a guesthouse on Maafushi island, from where he travelled to the nearby resort for a day trip.
He was reported missing around 2:30pm Tuesday to the military’s maritime rescue centre.
Coastguard divers found his body underwater Wednesday morning. The coastguard is trying to recover the body and bring it back to Malé.
The tourist drowned after going swimming in an area with strong currents, the resort informed media. There were warning signs at the beach, according to the resort.
