The renovated and re-designed southwest harbour food court was officially inaugurated Monday night by President Abdulla Yameen, local media reported, months after it started operations.
The food court, Raaveribey Kohthu Veni, has 26 eateries and has been open to the public since May.
The housing ministry, which was in charge of the project, tasked the development work to the State Trading Organisation in January 2016.
It was meant to be completed within six months, but overran the deadline by around a year and a half.
