Maldives tourism rises in July
Europe held the largest market share for the first seven months of 2018.

There was an eight percent increase in tourist arrivals to the Maldives in July compared to the same period last year, the Tourism Ministry said Thursday.
By the end of July a total of 848,847 tourists had visited the Maldives. It was 770,715 for the same period last year.
Europe held the largest market share for the first seven months of 2018, with 49.5 percent of all visitors coming from the region. Asia-Pacific came second, with 41.5 percent.
China remained the single biggest suppliers of tourists, with 160,639 of its nationals visiting the Maldives between January and July.
